Sears Appoints White as Vice President of Investor Relations
Sears, Roebuck and Co. (NYSE: S) has named Pamela J. White vice president of Investor Relations, effective March 13, 2002. In her new post, White will report to Paul J. Liska, Sears executive vice president and chief financial officer.
White, 39, is returning to Sears, where she served as director of finance for the men's and children's apparel businesses from 1997 to 1999. Since leaving Sears, she has served in senior finance and strategy positions at the Old Navy division of Gap, Inc. She is a graduate of Florida A&M University and received her MBA degree from Duke University.
White will direct all investor relations activities, including managing relationships with key members of the external financial community such as Wall Street analysts and Sears' large institutional shareholders.
"Pam will serve a critical function keeping Wall Street informed as we continue to improve the strategic positioning and profitability of our company," said Liska. "Her extensive experience in finance and the retail industry will be tremendous asset to Sears Investor Relations."
White succeeds Richard F. Westenberger, 33, who has been appointed to vice president of Finance for Sears hardlines group.
