SHC ranked on Human Capital Media’s LearningElite List for Best Companies in Learning and Development
(HCM), an integrated media company that supports the human resources industry and publisher of magazine, announced Sears Holdings as one of 50 companies ranked in its LearningElite list for the best companies in Learning and Development. This annual ranking lists the organizations that outperform the benchmark standard for implementation of learning and development best practices for their workforces.
The magazine stated, “When Sears [Holdings] shifted from traditional learning to continuous learning, it also shifted regional employee expectations. Sears adjusts employee knowledge targets regionally, to better respond to regional markets. For example, 100 percent of Northeast employees are required to have basic snow blower knowledge, while Southwest employees have no such target.”
